Time. To. Party.
Time. To. Party.
Asuh, dudes.
Gotta admit, it was nice getting some pony back earlier than expected. It wasn't perfect, but it was cool all the same. Anyhow, for my review on the new episode, check below! Minor spoilers will be prevalent.
So, this episode was a thing.
Technically speaking, the hiatus doesn’t end until the start of August, but Discovery Family saw fit to give us a taste of things to come. And it apparently tastes like Seussian bagpipes and bleeding ears. Let’s take it from the top.
Here we go again, time for me to break down these pukes again
LIFE POINTS: 8000
"No animal is suffering" Oh, I wouldn't say that, you girls just lost 200 points for such a BIZARRE and WEIRDO opening... which is exactly the kind of characterization I don't tollerate or approve of in characters I make and want them to have little to none at all of.
-200
LIFE POINTS: 8000 -----> 7800
Grading Scale:
A (fantastic episode)
A- (an excellent episode with at least one flaw)
B+ (a great episode with a couple of flaws)
B (a good episode which still could have been better)
So, despite this being an old-fashioned Pinkie Pie episode, I actually find myself a little bit more interested in this one again than it's usually the case with Mane Six episodes these days. I'm still quite a bit peeved over it that it isn't a Yona episode, even though the title implies this to some extent, but this is one of the rare episodes where we can still see a new side and some personal development from a member of the Mane Six, so I enjoyed this one more.
